Easter Holidays Print

Dear Parent/Carer

School will close at 2.25pm on Thursday, 1st April 2010. We will reopen on Monday, 19th April 2010 at 8.45am.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported the Enterprise day last Friday. The pupils and staff thoroughly enjoyed the day and the pupils were a credit to the school and yourselves. I hope you enjoy the Easter break and that the snow does not make an appearance here.

Yours Sincerely

Mrs J Hovington

International School Award Print

International School Award

Well done Blakeston! On 16 October Mrs Smith travelled to a ceremony in London to accept the International School Award on behalf of the school from well-known news presenter George Alagiah. The award was given in recognition of the importance the school attaches to international work in its many projects throughout the curriculum, including the Dreams and Teams Exchange with Holland, Y10 Work Experience exchange with our partner school in Germany, cultural and history visits to France, Germany and Spain, and the many international projects to raise awareness of other countries and cultures in the classroom. We look forward to adding even more in the future!
